25 years ago this evening...
...at this very moment was getting drenched on the terraces at Boundary Park watching us getting a 6-0 drubbing from Oldham in another St Valentines Day Massacre.

Anyone else there?

Ah, ok Stoat, guess he was there then! NS - yes with Bonzo in charge I actually thought we might do it at 3-0 up in the 2nd leg!

Yes, stood on the open end - sure it was mostly mud towards the back?

Didnt some fella streak through the stand we had allocated, to the right of the end?

Re: 25 years ago this evening...
I had this conversation with the kids today. The worst away game in 40 years bar none.

Massive row with her in doors, 5 hours to get there, pissing with rain, parked in the worst mud I have ever seen and then made Frankie Bunn look like Pele. Only West Ham could lose 6-0 to a pub team.

A week later we beat them 3-0 in the second leg, how can you do that and still lose.

I should have seen today coming, I will never learn.

losing 2-1 at chesterfield was poor as well

Re: 25 years ago this evening...
Losing to Forest last season doesn't come close to the 6-0 drubbing at Oldham. It was a cup semi final first leg and we had our strongest team out. The Forest debacle was Allardyce basically just throwing a game, putting out our reserves, so he could concentrate on the league. Disgraceful but predictable whereas the Oldham one was painful if predictable West Ham.

Re: 25 years ago this evening...
Oldham was the worst ever, followed by Birmingham League Cup Semi Final and then today. Perhaps we should stop going away games Ornchurch?

Ornchurch
Luxury mate. Would have loved a seat that night

Re: 25 years ago this evening...
Oldham was easily the worst away game ever.
And I was lucky enough to be in the seats out of the pissing rain all night.
